Examples of Ammeon Labs projects
3rd Party Service Enablement – Ammeon is working with a major mobile operator that wanted a faster and more cost effective way to support 3rd parties to create new services utilising their network assets. Ammeon provides a pre-integrated and certified environment providing secure access to APIs which the 3rd parties can use to create, deploy and operate those innovative services. Examples include new 3rd party services around gaming, mobile TV, messaging etc. The overall objective is to improve time-to-market and reduce costs. Ammeon provides the following:
- A certified environment connected to the operator’s major platforms
- Hosted in a securely managed environment
- Flexible and fast on-boarding and management of 3rd party access
- Secure management of API exposure
- Reporting and analytics for 3rd party services
- Development of additional APIs to support subscriptions
App Development – Ammeon has an experienced team of app developers that has created innovative mobile apps across the telecoms, retail, gaming and media sectors. This team’s expertise includes:
- Creation of end-to-end cloud-based services, requiring a wider skill base than just mobile app development
- Development of solutions that have a platform element as well as mobile app, and which require integration with telecoms platforms and infrastructure
- A full service capability, from ideation and service design, UX design, development and QA, integration, deployment, NOC and support
Talk2Group is another example of how we have applied our in-depth experience of messaging services (developed since 1992) to build an innovative App and network service that leverages Internet-connected mobile devices and their increasing bandwidth for on-the-fly mobile conference calls between smartphones, feature phones and landline connections. Talk2Group is deployed as a managed service with light integration with the operator’s network, enabling fast time-to-market and time-to-revenue.
Chat2Group is an extension of the Talk2Group proposition, aimed at providing a group messaging user experience that leverages SMS and IP messaging in a simple, compelling user experience. Chat2Group allows operators to compete with the OTT service providers, whilst leveraging their SMS community and protecting revenues.
Platform Development – Ammeon is working with a major NEP to architect and develop their next generation platforms. Making use of open-source technology and an innovative cloud-based architectures, this will deliver a much streamlined deployment and management capabilities, aimed at reducing costs and increasing flexibility for the end-customers. Ammeon is providing significant expertise in architecture, development, project and program management, QA and testing, coupled with a deep understanding of the telecom environment.
Ammeon Remote is one example of how Ammeon’s long experience of network testing and service deployment has been distilled into a tool that reduces the time and resources required to test network services before deployment or upgrade. Ammeon Remote is in use in several major mobile operators where offshore teams are used to deliver support and operations functions. It allows these remote teams to be able to quickly and simply test network functions without the need for on-site resources.
The SuperValu Shopping app for both iPhone and Android have been developed by Ammeon Labs. The app allows you to shop online from your local SuperValu store with the choice of home delivery or click & collect. The app is available both on Android in Google Play, and on iPhone in the App Store.
