Ammeon provides managed technical services for the operation and management of live services and infrastructure.

 

Ammeon provides remote service management, usually connecting from Ammeon's Service Management Centre (SMC) to the customers' networks using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Service Management Optimisation

With years of experience of operating telecom services and the underlying infrastructure and platforms, Ammeon has gained extensive experience in optimising such operations. Such optimisation leads to efficiencies and cost savings - and reduces some of the more mundane elements of operations.

 

Release Management

The management of service and network upgrades in a coordinated fashion and efficient manner is essential to the network infrastructure operator. Many operators have introduced or are planning to introduce processes to coordinate releases and upgrades. Typically, such release management processes combine a number of releases into a larger release to meet the defined business objectives. This process also makes more efficient use of implementation and test resources. However, it is critical for the operators to understand the impacts and inter-dependencies of each release.

Ammeon has expertise in mobile, fixed and satellite communications, having worked with messaging, data, voice and broadcast technologies. Ammeon's engineers have extensive knowledge of operation and test of network products and services.

Test Environment Management

The management of the test environment is essential for ensuring that test programmes for new communication products and services are carried out efficiently and correctly. In introducing any new product or service both regression and feature tests are usually required. Automation of testing using automatic testers and scripts and well- defined test routines greatly assists in the efficiency of testing.

Ammeon supports the Test Environment Management of both onsite and hosted test environments. Ammeon ensures that the test environment is well maintained and controlled ensuring reproducibility and efficiency of testing and thereby resulting in a faster time to market and revenue of high-quality products and services.

Ammeon has vast experience of testing complex telecom products and services, and also have expertise in most telecom platforms and networks. Ammeon has expertise in testing voice, messaging, data and value added services for fixed, mobile and satellite networks. Ammeon is also trusted by a number of service providers to test their network products and services.

 

First Line Maintenance

Generally network operators carry out First Line Maintenance for network platforms. Ammeon provides First Line Maintenance services to network operators. Ammeon engineers can provide this service directly to the network operator, or alternatively on behalf of the system vendor. In either scenario a service level agreement will be put in place, and periodic reports will be produced by Ammeon detailing how the service has performed. This service can be provided on the operator site, or alternatively from the Ammeon offices.

Manage Enterprise Access

Telecom networks are designed generally to offer mass-market or general servcies applicable to large customer groups. Enterprise customers, on the other hand, have very specific service requirements particularly in the area of data and messaging services, and these enterprises need to be provisioned on a case by case basis, usually by engineering and operations teams within the operator.

Ammeon's Managed Enterprise Access bridges the gap between the sales team dealing with the customer and the operations teams implementing the customer's requirements. In particular, Ammeon will provide a management service to ensure that the customer configuration is captured, liaise with the customer technical staff and ensure that the necessary changes are implemented. An example of this is the implementation of Blackberry email or other enterprise messaging solutions.

Ammeon has a strong history in providing carrier-tailored technology training courses. The focus of these courses is to empower the carrier staff in understanding the complexity and diversity of their individual service layers.
